Vietnam National Museum of History

International Cooperation

Based on the foreign policy of the Government, the VNMH has cooperated with numerous foreign museums and international organizations in the fields of exhibition, archeology, preservation, training, publishing and conference. The museums and organizations generally come from countries such as China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, USA, Russia, Australia.

Every year, the VNMH receives and works with many delegations of museums from Asian, European and American countries to set up the cooperative relationships. In return, numerous delegations of the Museum have been sent abroad for visiting, studying, participating in seminars and exhibitions. Through these cooperative relationships, VNMH’s staff can access to modern facilities and to update new information from advanced countries.

The VNMH is a member of the International Council of Museum (ICOM), and is a founding member of the Asian National Museums Association (ANMA). The VNMH has actively participated and made important contributions to the ANMA conferences. The Museum successfully hosted the 4th ANMA in October 2013 in Hanoi. This is also an opportunity for the VNMH to raise its influence as the leading museum in the museum system of Vietnam.
