On the morning of February 24, 2026, over 100 students from classes 6A1 and 8A8 of Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School (Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi) participated in the first educational program of the New Year at the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH).
This program was associated with the thematic exhibition titled “Spring - The Dawn of Victory”. It combined guided exhibition tours with interactive activities. Students had the opportunity to listen to explanations from their guides, observe artifacts up close, answered questions, identify significant historical milestones, and collaborate in groups to complete various tasks.

During the tour, students learn about historical Spring milestones: 1930 (The founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam), 1941 (Leader Nguyen Ai Quoc’s return to the country to lead the revolution), 1946 (the First General Election of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam) and 1975 (National Reunification).

In Gallery No. 1, which showcases late 19th to early 20th century history, the narrative highlights the resistance against French colonialists along side the life of General Nguyen Tri Phuong. As the renowned Nguyen Dynasty general after whom their school is named, this connection made the history lesson more relatable for the students.
The experiential activities were lively and engaging, featuring events like “Spring Lucky Picks”, “Who’s Fast, Who’s Right?” and the physical challenge “Historic Milestones”. In this challenge, teams had to race through obstacle, quickly match pieces of information, and identify historical events under time pressure. These tasks required effective teamwork and quick reactions. By moving beyond mere "hearing and seeing" to "acting and interacting," students consolidated their knowledge in an exciting and proactive environment.

Ms. Bui Thi Quynh, the homeroom teacher of Class 8A8 shared: “This is an incredibly meaningful and engaging activity for the students. History lessons from textbooks came to life through these activities at the museum. If we had more time to explore all the galleries, the students could further expand their knowledge and deepen their understanding of history.”

The program not only marked the first educational event of 2026 but also launched a series of initiatives aimed at innovating historical engagement at the VNMH. By combining tours, interaction, and physical activities, history becomes stories full of images and emotions. The Museum hopes that each activity serves as a bridge connecting students to our nation’s precious heritage. This engagement helps them feel more responsible for preserving and continuing our traditions in the future."
