These were the first dynasties of feudal Vietnam. The administrative system was strengthened, and although it was simple, this indicated a step in the construction of an independent and sovereign government from central to local levels. Military, economy, and culture were also strengthened, making the foundation for the long period of development of the successive dynasties. The achievements of Ngo Quyen, Dinh Bo Linh, and Le Hoan in building the country and their victories in fighting domestic and foreign enemies reflect the strong beginning for the golden age of the Dai Viet civilization.
