This dynasty existed in a short period with three successive kings: Nguyen Nhac (1778-1789), Nguyen Hue (1789-1992) and Nguyen Quang Toan (1792-1802). Policies on economic reform (agricultural promotion), culture and education (educational promotion, promotion of Nom characters) helped stabilize people’s lives and develop the country after a long period of chaos. Victories in the battles against Siam (1785) and the Qing (1789) by King Quang Trung Nguyen Hue, unified the country from north to south which left important marks on the history of Vietnam.
